Selwyn Baratheon is a Squire in the Iron Order, and the current Grand Marshal's eldest son.
Appearance and Character[]
Selwyn is a tall lad for his age. He stands at a staggering 5'9" and has the quintessential Baratheon colouring of black hair and blue eyes. He has a lanky build, but broad chest and shoulders, and narrow waist. He has a goofy grin.
Biography[]
Selwyn Baratheon was born in 384AC to Prince Stannis Baratheon and Lady Shiera Baratheon nee Tyrell. He is the firstborn of Stannis' "army" and has spent his recent life in King's Landing and Ironhold. He is a family centered young man, and like his father the Grand Marshal, he cares more about the smallfolk than politics and other ambitions.
Selwyn is a squire for his father like his cousin Lucas Tyrell who he has a friendly rivalry with. He dreams of following in his father's footsteps and being knighted so he can serve the Iron Order like his father. Like many boys his age, he can't wait to grow up, but he still has a ways to go.
He spends his days in the training yard with Ser Andrew who tells him he will someday be a talented duelist. He is skilled with the sword and shield but has not taken to other weapons as well. His aim with the bow is mediocre, but he shows promise with polearms, usually when astride the horse. What sets him apart from other squires is his skill in acrobatics, an odd talent he developed from the great deal of time he's spent tumbling around and climbing trees as a youth.
